Sales Director Karen Bradley has admitted the response from schools and small business has taken her by surprise.

    health Safety

I tried doing a few searchs of the net for health and safety signs.  It would be interesting if we could isolate which pages of the health and safety  disability sections are correctly tagged (DDA).

The results show safety Signs Catalogue and Linden Signs are being picked up for health and safety issues. The mandate I have for the health side is to ensure tactile and braille signage is DDA readable. That is to the DDA guidlines regarding visibility and font size for disability in the environment. Font sizes are an issue with regard to disability guidlines because they are set by the user. The health and safety executives are aware of the problem. Regarding the veiwer and disability issues I've contacted the East Midlands Enterprise Initiative.

    Here's the list of results:

I tried the same results without Karen Bradley as an entry.

IKM Internet Kaufmarkt GMbH industry book

After a few discussions I've placed the following links:

Although they are a Eurpoean health and safety listing, Safety Signs Catalogue and Linden signs are listed under the Great Britain local addresses of IKM Interenet Kaufmarkt GmbH.

    The following text was used:

Safety Signs Catalogue offers competitive prices and orders can be placed online with secure payment by credit card or PayPal. All orders are delivered directly to home, office or site by carrier.

Using the Safety Signs Catalogue site search feature, signs can quickly be located. Alternatively the Safety Signs office is open 9am – 5pm where the help desk will locate any signs required. The company is also happy to receive a phone call, fax or a list of signs and give a quotation with all the prices included.

The Safety Signs Catalogue supplies a full range of signs for offices, hotels, small business and construction sites. Trades such as electrical, plumbing and chemical signs are also covered. In fact any business requiring health & safety or warning signs will find this an excellent UK resource.

Safety Signs Catalogue is the online store for Linden Signs Ltd - a sign supplier with a long standing reputation for quality and good customer service. All Braille and tactile signs are manufactured to DDA standards and they are a listed supplier on the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) and a member of the Midlands Construction Safety Association.
Any suggestions or ammedments are welcome.

    Health

    I've signed up on

It's a really interesting health site. With articles on health related subjects such as the arts, safety, work an health issues.

I've also included it in http://safetysignscatalogue.com I think it could be a really useful forum for any health issues or articles we might like to contribute.

Linden Signs http://www.lindensigns.org/Safety_Signs.html has also been updated to reflect the World Heath site.

I'll post further updates on Thursday.

    Photoluminescent

We've started to add  the photoluminescent range to Safety Signs Catalogue.

    You can view it here:

We've been approved on the Maritime Industry Directory:

An example of the structure is http://safety-signs-catalogue.com/fire_exit_down.html rather than list each photoluminescent sign seperately from the none photoluminescent range I felt it best to simply add the prices all on the one page. This means the buyer has an instant choice of which they require.

As always, any comments are welcome.

    Linden Signs

The online safety signs online catalogue has now been given a link from Linden Signs Ltd.

This directs the viewer to http://safety-signs-catalogue.com/signs.html  The reason I haven't took people to the index page is to allow us to include a link back to Linden Signs as in the homepage layout.

I hope that makes sense. If collegues have any comments, please feel free.

    An easy to use place.

http://safety-signs-catalogue.com been put together to offer the UK market a good online catalogue without doubling the prices.

The biggest challenge has been to make signs easy to find, so the site has been built around a search engine rather than just adding one to the site.

Hopefully, it makes the store easy to use. No bangs, no whistles, just a place you can buy safety signs at a reasonable price.

    Karen.
